welcome to the waiting room! help yourself to some light reading.

so. today, i went down to glendale to help my friend/employer clean out his garage. i have never seen a dirtier place. there was a whole wall he hadnt seen in years. he had all kinds of tapes and posters and paperwork etc etc. then there were the couches, rugs, GIANT tv, and stuff. after we cleaned it all up and washed the floor and moved all his stuff around, we moved another couch down from upstairs. at the end of the day, he gave me $20 and had me take a ton of stuff to goodwill or to dump. so, i decided to keep one of the couches (black pleather. looks like it should be in a waiting room. WAY out of place.) and a poster for some french museum that features ‘monet et ses amis’. then i went to goodwill and left a bunch of the other junk. i went inside and bought a sweet record player (woot! half off!) and an old metal film reel case! they cost $20. so it was a good day. a couch, poster, film case, and record player for the cost of a trip to and from glendale. oh! and he got me a super good sandwich for lunch. i left the chips for later, but i forgot. oh well.

i asked my roommate what i should write about. he said ‘war, famine, and pestilence, dinner time conversation topics.’ of course! i asked a friend last night what i should write about . she said ’slugs.’ (i soon after lost interest in writing and went to bed) so, i’ll just write about conversation.

yes. conversation.

its interesting how important conversation is to us americans. we dont go a minute without it. dont get me wrong, i love talking too. i was just thinking that its interesting how much we depend on it. if a guy is goin after a girl, but his conversation skills arent so good, sorry, hes probably getting the boot. ladies, correct me if im wrong. anyway. no biggie. its understandable. if you cant talk to him, its gonna be pretty awkward. well, thats all the thinking i can do for now. during the time it took to write this, i also watched lost and some seinfeld!
